Over the fifteen years that Contretype
has been running its artist-in-residence
programme, it has enabled photographers
from diverse backgrounds to work in 
Brussels and produce works inspired
by the city—works that also include an
element of subjective interpretation.
The residences have therefore empirically
created a portrait of contemporary
photographic creation.
